Fianlly got my gear back today and I'll hope to have a great day shooting tomorrow... Amazing how they blend in. The bg may be a little busy for some but i like how it shows the amazing camoflouge.

A very impressive shot Cheryl. I like the natural setting. What I would like to learn, is how the photographers posting owl photos are finding these owls in the daytime? I have subsequently learned that the Snowy Owl hunts during the day. But how do you track down these other owls?

Thanks Ronald. I was on a boat trip with a few other Photographers and these were found in the cypress on a lake.

Really like the image also. It really does demonstrate the effective camo coloring (---multicam?)

Great job focussing on the head. Awesome bird. I enjoying the bg for its uniqueness.

Yes it works for me too a very natural shot. You appear to have the head well focused, I suspect this was not as easy as it may appear!

Great sharpness, and flight pose, Cheryl. Which part needed repair? Camera or lens if I may ask?

Ah, I think that I figure it out. Cheryl, please correct me if I am wrong: you were out with Jim Neiger and this bird was attracted using a tape of a Barred Owl call.

    Arash stole my critique.

Ronald. Barred Owls are often active during the day.
