    Love the colors and comp, Gus. Has a neat sense of motion for me. I also like how you kept the eye sharp.

    Gus, the painterly effect is quite nice and I love the colors. The far wing got a little lost in the processing I think.

    Gus, Nice job with the capture and processing, I agree with Kerry regarding the far wing. You really are coming up with some unique looks for your hummers.

    Gus, this is an interesting approach to the image and to the subject matter...good comments already made regarding the far wing by Kerry and Denise. It might be interesting to mask the cloudy background and blur it just a bit...and/or lower the contrast some...so the patterns don't compete quite as much with the image...but that's a matter of personal taste!

    Hi Folks;

    Loved your comments, and to show you I listen, at the moment Anna is unde the knife in surgery having the wing replaced. Too bad Doug Brown is in Costa Rico (good for him) as he could supervise Anna's breathing while put under. Her recovery will be in new surroundings fitted out by Mr. Onion, background specialist, and she will be receiving visitors at BPN in 24 hours.

    In lieu of flowers, donations will be appreciated by you know who.

    These little birds are so adorable. I like the processing, and the far wing doesn't really bother me, since I think it gives a good sense of motion. But maybe the surgery will enhance her further!

    I don't believe in reincarnation but if I did... I'd want to be one of your hummingbirds, Gus. Beautiful!
