Default Giant Kingfisher ( female )

I was going through some old files last week and came across a whole lot of images that I hadnt processed. I just liked the early morning light in this, and with the giant against the distant OOF mountain. Taken in the Pilanesberg.

Awesome, Stu! I'd have run home, processed, printed, framed, and posted on BPN as soon as I pressed the shutter on this one :)
Perfect comp, bg, perch and incredibly beautiful KF.
A degree or two of head turn would be nice, even though it works as is.

Wow Stuart, this one just jumps off the screen and smacks in you in the face with its color, clarity, and detail. Very well done.

    Amazing sharpness and perch, Stuart.
You are a constant source of inspiration.
Great BG as usual, how you get these with a 400 is remarkable.

Don't you love it when you find a treasure like this!!Like finding money in a pocket of a jacket worn last year.
The image is great. The BG, slightly open beak and IQ are excellent. Well done,
    Gail

    Top draw Stuart.
I think the composition is outstanding on the shot and the perch complements the bird totally.
If it was one of mine it would be hanging in the front room by now.
To be honest it’s perfect in every way.
I wish I had seen these when I was in Durban.

Stuart, IQ is great here which makes a big difference....lots of details, perfect exposure and that distant BG is so sweet.
