    Default Herring Gull in Flight

I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to go on a Paulagics trip this weekend (paulagics.com) out of Freeport, NY and saw many wonderful birds. I also was trying out my brand new 70-200 F/2.8L IS II USM, after upgrading from my 70-200 f/4.0L IS USM. I was very happy with the change in equipment, and look forward to taking advantage of the extra sharpness and increased speed in my shoots going forward. C&C welcomed and appreciated, as always.

    Rhys,
Like the pose and very well composed. Even though shadows are little dominant I like of like them. Very nice eye contact too. May require just a little sharpening IMO.

    Thanks

Agree it could use just a touch more sharpening. I don't mind the shadows as the head is clear of them. I like the look he's giving.
