Ben - nice pose and detail with a clean bg. I like that we can see the eyelashes and the whiskers around the chin. There's a yellow/green cast on my monitor.

Nice pose. Body side, head turned toward camera with slight tilt, bright eye on sun side. Soft late (or early sun), I like it a lot.
Surprised f5 was enough DOF to get sharp nose and ears. That prime 500 f4 a mighty nice lens. (And big!!!)
Not sure I see the color cast Rachel mentions.

    Ben,

Very nice indeed, good to get such fine light on the eyes.

No colour cast for me either.

Hmm, the yellow color I'm seeing is in the whites of the neck and the inner ear. I suppose it could just be the color.

Like the head turn, clear eyes and lighting here Ben, a good example of why seldom few Zebra are never just black & white.

Thanks for the comments. The hair of the mane is white and the neck yellowish-that was the normal colour of the zebra.

I like the tilted head here Ben - nice portrait! I would lighten the darks a bit as it's just a bit lacking in detail?
