    This just does not seem right to me, the image as posted appears to be very washed out, but perhaps it is just me.

    Thanks Ken, but please elaborate, what looks washed out, the colours, detail or is there not enough contrast?

    Here is an adjustment with a little adjustment in curves, perhaps it helps?

    Brendon,

    It is difficult for me to explain, but I think it is mainly down to contrast.

    Here is a repost which I hope explains what I mean, basically I boosted the contrast using linear contrast and sharpened a little more. I think I have overdone it a bit too much

    I have never seen this bird so pretty hard for me to judge the correct color tones. Other than that, fantastic pose, great composition and wonderful wing position.

    I think your repost is not as overdone as mine, perhaps a tad more sharpening.
