As far as I remember this is fairly uncommon even in Texas. I only have record shots.
Great to have it perching for you on that nice perch with a beauty background behind.

Excellent image Alan! I like the pose, perch, sharpness, exposure and BG.

Great shot. It might be a tad stronger if you darkened the perch a bit.

Stunning image. BKGR is killer and the perch looks fine to me. Was this a tape setup?

I would love to see a frame with a bit more head turn towards you. But this is still killer good.

Hey Artie, no tape. These guys don't respond to tapes.
This was a result of watching his feeding behavior over many hours. I got to see all the perches he would use and then replaced one of his with mine ;-)

Beautiful shot, the thought put into the preparation was duly rewarded.

This is stunning, Alan. Great job getting this bird on such a nice perch with a great bg in great light. And doing all of that on such a rare bird makes this a big winner!
    Amazing work.

Spectacular image, Alan !! Spot on definition, perch to match. Composition so well handled given such an elongated subject. Feather texture in darks and lights well portrayed. Also liked explanation of perch history.

Classical Alan Murphy, and as always the best of the best. Your in depth understanding of each species' behavior is astonishing, and the results must be seen in person before a comprehensive understanding is possible. Your set ups are not just set ups. They encourage the target's usually scope of activity in a surrounding that attracts the bird because he/she is comfortable in the environment you have created. Even I can make good images when I am with you. Thanks for sharing so much.
