    Thanks for your kind words, much appreciated.

    Doug, I have my notes here somewhere, and I'll post them.

    Doug;

    This is very simple, takes about a minute. I use CS5, but any version of PS should work

    1. Choose your photo, if not TIF, save it as a TIF & open in PS, Check that it is RGB, Image>Mode>RGB
    2. Ctrl+J for layer copy
    3. Click B&W Icon (Create fill or adjustment layer0 at bottom of layers window
    4. When open choose "Threshod"
    5.When Threshold opens move arrow on slider to left. Stop when satisfied

    Took me about 2 mins & I had a minimalism hummingbird

    Have fun

    Gus

    Thanks, Gus. BTW, this is Dan! I wish I were Doug, as he is in Costa Rica at this moment in time!

    Hi Dan;

    At least I got the initials right.

    Wish we were both in CR

    Gus, Great job on this. I use the Threshold slider to produce brush presets. I bet this could be a brush preset! Love it!

    Gus, I like it a lot! With both cheetas lookat you, it makers it a compelling minimalist composition. Excellent processing!
