Default Bird Photography Opportunity at North Chagrin

    Dates: February 11, 12, 25 & 26
    Times: 9:30am to 3:30pm.
    Where: North Chagrin Reservation.
    Phone: 440-473-3370

They're setting up a two man blind near one of their feeders. All you
have to do is call to try and reserve a one hour slot.

I have one of the Feb. 11 and Feb. 25 9:30am time slots. No idea if
    there's another opening or not.

They had their first opportunity in January. Wasn't to bad being out
    in sub 20 degree weather.

There were a few cardinals, juncos and sparrows.

    turn bad again.

Sunday wasn't bad. (I'm sure we had better weather then on Saturday.) I was surprised the blind was too close to the feeders. I wasn't able to use my 500mm lens most of the time. Still, it was a great idea. I hope they do it again.

I ended up not going Saturday due to this stupid cold/cough I can't get rid of.

When I first went in January, I brought my 600, and like you, I found out it was to much.
Probably something in the 100-400 range will be better.

I've suggested they put some seed by that pond, but they never do. So I started bringing
my own seed and placing it near the pond and up on those fence posts.

I asked them about March, but right now they're looking at May as their next opportunity.
