Default Last Snowy Before Costa Rica

I'm off to Costa Rica this morning for my annual workshop with my good friend Greg Basco! I thought I'd post one more Snowy Owl portrait before I head south. One blade of grass cloned out at the bottom of the perch.

    Great perch and BG.
if anything, maybe a bit more room all around.
    The Owl is exquisite.

Simple yet very effective Doug. I just love the overall simplicity of images like this, giving good depth and detail to the subject which is key IMHO. Can't help but wonder if the the blade of grass adds anything or not, because of the BKG?

    Killer BKG.

    Enjoy Costa Rica.

Hi Doug, cool pose with the single eye, and I like the soft light, together with the exposure on the snowy. Good contrasting curves captured - the left side of the snowy curving LLC to URC, and the blade of grass curving LRC to ULC ( hope that makes sense ) Yep, that BG sure is stunning.

Very unusual pose, Doug! Good work! Have a great CR trip and say hi to Greg (and Jose if possible) for me.

Excellent pose and perch! I'm on the fence with the grass....part of me likes it for the similar curve of the owl. The BG is fantastic and an easy fix if you decided to remove the grass.
    A winner for sure!!!

This is an excellent picture of the Snowy. Great turning back pose, showing the beak and the backgroudn is very pleasing, Doug.
