    I'm back and forth on whether there is enough contrast with the bg in this one. What do you think?

    This is full frame and at this distance I wasn't going to get the whole bill in focus :( Moving to the left wasn't really an option.

    Nice pose,composition and eye contact but it looks a bit soft to my monitor

    Does it really? Maybe I've been staring at the screen too much today, but the point of focus is on the eye which to me looks really sharp. Sharpness fades of forward and backward from that point really quickly though. I wonder if that contributes to a soft look.

    The repost makes a pretty big difference on the beak, but esp the eye.

    Hey Jim,

    I have to agree with Marina on this one. I like the catchlight. I also see a dust spot just above the neck line.
