    Found throughout most Australia this Dotterel will be encountered on most birding trips. This image however was taken at Sturt NP which is remote area National Park situated where New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia boundaries join and is an arid land region best visited from April through to October. Best traversed by 4 WD but can be done with 2 WD and a 1300 klm drive north-west from Sydney NSW. The park offers a true outback experience and is large at 340000 hectares (= 840158 acres).     Looks like the light was quite harsh so the whites under chin are a bit hot. Good IQ and I like the comp. Love the eye and the matching red beak. I would clone out the 2 blades of grass sticking up in front of the bird and take a bit off the RHS. I like the moss on the ground. TFS,

    I like Gails recommendations and thoughts on this one......worth exploring. Very nice comp.
