    In one corner of the Finca stands a huge Fig Tree...

    An early morning stake out hiding in a bush brought me to within about 5 m of this splendid CMT;
    Oh he knew I was there alright but he tolerated me just long enough to get some good shots.

    I doubt it's possible to get closer to a wild Toucan than this.

    I removed a diagonal blurred branch from trc; the image was converted in DPP and Noise reduced in Topaz
    some minor brush burn 3% here and there, and blur to cloned area.

    A priveledged meeting .

    By 'eck Rich you are coming up with the goods! Super shot, detail and DOF great background great. It is a first class shot and as you say and privileged to have taken it. I don't know how you feel about the leaves far right, I reckon it would be feasible to lose those by using a quick mask of the other side of the frame and reorienting it a little(??)

    Richard, you nailed the head turn...nice and parallel showing the bill length. lots of impact. exposure looks great and so do the colors. i can imagine the thrill.

    WOW! And even though you were at f 5.6 this guy is sharp the whole way through.Is the top of the beak white or is it a bit hot? Leaves in RLC a bit distracting. I assume you could not move the the left? Still, a beautiful image,
    Gail

    Hi thanks all
    Gail beaks are all yellow but I would expect the light to sheen like that, adds dimension IMO, same on the choco part

    Really nice and you got the focal point just right. I love the mossy perch.

    I like the look back pose and perch. Good job under challenging conditions! It seems these guys always know where you are at.
