    Hi Michael,
    The bird is beautifull, but the background is quite busy for my taste. Branches are touching the bird's bill and you cut his legs off...:eek: OUCH...Would consider giving him more room to the right of the frame...:cool:

    Thank you for your comments. So would you try to use Photoshop to clean up the background, or would you simply not take the picture with such a background?

    Hi Michael I would opt to look for a cleaner bg When going after a bird you should consider the sun angle and work your way into position Then check the bg at times moving just a little will improve.

    For this image I do like the green bg but the closer branches compete for attention The other important consideration .... the feet !!! As Gus pointed out is a big deal clipping them. You want to include all Another compositional consideration is having more space in front than behind the bird Don't want to place him in the middle.

    On the positive side you did make a good exposure and it is sharp You could select the eye area and lighten a bit Looking forward to more !!!!!
