    Hey Hilary,
It's great that you got the two heads in the clear and facing the same way! I may go for toning hte the brightness a few points.....especially on the rump and maybe lightening the eye a bit too. My personal prefernce for B&W's is a much tonality as you can eek out of them......so just a few thoughts for you to ponder but still an excellent BG to a very nice comp!

Absolutely love this image and the affection and comraderie that it portrays. Agree on toning down their butts b/c they really shine in your eyes when you first look at the picture. Very well seen and executed.

Hilary - nicely conceived and IQ looks great. I do wish that the zebra on the left's head was a little higher with more visible and agree on the brightness but these are small nits. Overall, well done.

Hi Hilary, I like the way each shape/part of the body is echoed. The composition is simple, yet effective.

Taking on board Romans points this will give this image more depth, as the whites should have some minimal texture in them, but I might also look at adjusting some of the darker areas to add some richness in the blacks if you know what I mean. Would keep the BKG as is, as it's a nice mid tone to it. Look forward to the repost if you feel inclined.

Thanks for the ideas which I will look at later today as I'm at the beach with the horses at present. Will repost if happy with the result.

Thank you for all the suggestions. I've re processed the image and was about to post it, but when I looked at the preview I decided that I really didn't like the zebra rumps toned down as it just didn't look normal given the light … the hindquarters and heads should be a similar tonality and reflection. When I toned down the whole image, it lost the punch which I liked in the original.

So immense thanks for the feedback but on this occasion .......

Great composition, Hilary, and cute pose. Good suggestions above, but first I must say good job on getting it all in focus.

The symmetry and simplicity here are key elements, Hilary!
The conversion is decent but can be improved by taking on board the comments from Steve and Roman which I concur with wholeheartedly.

Nice symmetry and linear patterns Hilary. Interesting difference in the patterns on the tails.
