From a 540x670 crop... Many Lab curves layers to neutralize bg color & selective contrasting, Many Topaz Adjust layers for tone, detailing, Topaz Simplify for general softening & tone, cloning here & there, uprezed 150%, sharpening & detailing.

    Thanks for looking...

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Beautifully done, Michael. The tones and pink are splendid! Nice detail on bird.

Michael, a fitting theme, piece of artwork, lovely details and subtle colors..only thing I might do is blend in, the two dark marks above the birds back on right.....thanks for sharing

Michael, I like the pose and soft effect. I wonder if a hint more sharpening to the eye area would work. I might tone down the neck just a touch. Cute little one for sure.

Micheal, this is a wonderful composition! I love the pose, the white on white and the pink... perfect for the theme.

Steve, Paul, Cheryl, Denise, Mark, Indranil,

Thank you so much for your comments. The OP was processed without much thought as to size, but it's grown on me so I started over with a more printable size in mind. For this version I used DAP (Portraitist) to help with the uprez... DAP can repaint the image at a higher resolution so the more processed parts, the painted parts, end up at a higher resolution even if you start with a thumbnail. Futzed a fair amount with the detail/noise balance with all manner of resizing, sharpening, blending, etc.

And, of course, I took account of your suggestions. Ended with a printable 2393x2994 image:
