I love the song of these little birds. If you hear for the first time in the season then you know that spring is around the corner. I photographed this one not far from my home in the Netherlands.

    Beautiful bird and BG.
There is a smudge of sorts in the upper left, and some more funniness going on in the lower right.

    Hi Hillebrand!

Very pretty bird with nice details. I am not very good at composition, but it does seem that my eye is attracted to the upper right corner and the dark patch (which is also sharp) on the perch. I can't offer any suggestions, but would love to hear other opinions, and/or rules and ideas on corners, etc.

Beautiful photograph. I like the position of the bird a lot. How much, if any, work did you do to the BG?

    Hi Hillebrand,
Love the composition, nice rich colors... I would crop just below the dark section of the branch on the top right hand side of the frame; to eliminate the distraction. My eye tends to focus on that one dark spot on your frame...:D

Very nice image, the BG needs to be cleaned up a little. I really like the composition, the green leaves are a nice contrast to the pale yellow on the bird, the darker part of the perch, top right is a little distracting.
