Hi Morteza, I like your comp with the kingfisher perched high on the reed. Colours look spot on, sharp, and the lighter colour of the BG helps to make the kingfisher pop nicely.

Please note you have sized this at 1000 pixels on the vertical size. The maximum size for the site on the vertical side is 800 pixels.

I love the speices. Agree with a bit less BG......but that is very nice for contrast also.

Lovely simple shot but with high impact, clean , crisp and well composed.
Colors look muted in comparison to our UK Kingfisher; do you happen to know species?

Wonderful shot of this kingfisher. I really like the background and perch, great pose, and I personally like the comp as is.
    Well done.

Beautiful bird & picture. In answer to Richard's question about species, this may be a blue-eared kingfisher "Alcedo meninting". I saw one when I was in China last fall. This kingfisher appears more green than blue, but I could not find a better match. Here is a web link to a page on Asian kingfishers. http://orientalbirdimages.org/birdim...d_Family_ID=78

I am updating this since I believe I now know the species: "Alcedo atthis" or "common kingfisher". It is very similar to meninting, except it is green.

This is brilliant. Infact I like the empty space at the bottom and make it a better comp IMO.
