I posted this bird a couple weeks ago ready for flight. This was the frame before, taken early morning HH from boat. C&C very much appreciated.

The head angle is better on this one Cathy (if I remember that is!). This one has a bit more room to the right, which the other one needed. I find the habitat quite pleasing. I think you could run another round of sharpening on the bird to good effect.

Cathy, I like the habitat surrounding the GBH. It is soft enough to feature the bird. Nice pose and lighting as well.

hey Cathy, I love the mechanical thing it is standing on, amongst all that beautiful golden habitat. beautiful sharp head and love the raised leg. this makes me think it would have made an awesome HDR... beautiful!

Hi Cathy, nice job of getting this guy in your frame! These birds are so big that sometimes we only get "most" of the bird. There is a strong yellow/green cast to the image. You can adjust the color balance without losing the warm tones, as I've tried to do in this repost. I would also suggest a slight CW rotation.

Hi Kerry - thanks for the re-post! The color adjustment is quite an improvement; seems to make the image look sharper as well (or did you sharpen it too?)

Cathy, oops! I did apply a bit of USM - sorry I neglected to mention that. Good eye!
