    40D. 400 f5.6L at f/6.3. iso 320. 1/2500s. almost full-frame.

    Same situation as last one...but a slightly different position to get parallel to the bird. I also got one where the head is fully turned towards the back....but prefer the HA here.

    beautiful shot Kaustubh. The eye is beautifully sharp and lovely background too. Where did you take this picture?

    Hi Kaus, good look back pose, and just love the soft light in this. Your normal low angle shows up very well, and I really like the colours of the layered BG. Congrats on a fine image.

    yes, very much. stay tuned for some closeups :-)
    but sits in the grass most of the time. got him on the road only for the briefest of moments....but at least it was within the range.

    Great low angle and side and the pose just got the secondeye in there. I like it but wish for a little more pop on the darks

    The best part of this image for me is the road with the little pebbles and the soft layered Bg. Might increase the blacks in the neutrals for a bit more pop.

    Another great shot in the open of this handsome Owl, Kaustubh. Love the low angle and the nice layered background it created.
