    This bird is variously called an imperial, Antarctic or blue-eyed shag, or an imperial, king or Antarctic cormorant. The one shown here was photographed at a large colony on New Island, the Falklands.

    Very nice portrait. Good exposure and terrific depth to the blues and blacks.I would blur or tone down the OOF grass to the right of bird's head What a cool looking bird,

    This really shows off the bird nicely Norm. Great detail in the whites and a nice BG (agree with Gail's comment). On my calibrated monitor the dark toned plumage could use a little lightening up- easy to do with the Fill light slider so that the highlights are not affected.
