    Default Black-headed Heron

I liked the incoming pose of the heron as he was approaching his tree perch ( a bit far to include in the comp ) and against a lovely cloudy sky. Taken at the University of Pretoria early morning.

Stu, I love everything about this one. The pose, the light, the gorgeous sky and the comp.
The light is just special - gives the image an HDR type of look!

Great pose with nice color in the background, looks like everything came together for this shot.

Very nice mate, love the pose and wing detail. Maybe a touch over-sharpened on the head but otherwise a fantastic image and the clouds add a lot in my opinion!

Superb shot, great composition and pose, lovely colours. I do not think it is over exposed but I would consider lowering the brightness on the bill and head, I think it will provide a little better definition and it will reduce the impression that Dumay refers to. - Let me know what you think.

No nits from me but agree with Jonathan's suggestion of decreasing he brightness on head and neck. Great wing pose and underwing detail.

Beautiful wing position and detail on them as well. Agree maybe a little over sharpened on the head.
