Hi Ken,
Lovely detail in your image, I am not so sure about the light as it looks a little harsh. I have yet to see wild dog, so am not truly sure on the colours as it looks as though a bit of recovery on the whites may be necessary??
Thanks for sharing,
Mark.
I love the dynamic pose and the water dripping from the hind foot and the splashes. I am OK with the light. The perked ears and HA are really nice. A pleasure to view,
Gail
Ken - good timing, nice action pose and I like the comp. You might consider darkening the bg a couple of points.

Exp and colors look good. Good action with the splash and pose. IQ not as good as your last Wild-dog post but still not bad. I would play a touch with levels to add a touch of contrast and bring down brightness. Very nice Ken!
Ken,
I would suggest trying my highlight masking process on this one. I have outlined it in numerous posts so I am sure you have read it.
Great capture of the action and good head angle.
Hi Ken, action nicely captured and exposure and colours well managed in the strong light. Like the sense of motion with the splashes and posture - like it.

lovely image Ken, as mentioned a little work in curves and maybe a little more selective colour increments on the dog alone will make this pop really nicely.
Ken well done on getting the action. I agree with above comments on light. I would give B&W a try TFS![]()
Thanks everybody for your comments, they are much appreciated.
The IQ is probably not "top notch" as a result of the large crop, around 10% of full frame and body movement.
I am happy with the whites as they really can be this white and are not shown as in need of recovery in ACR
Hi Ken,
nice action image and the splash of water from the hind legs.

Looks like you had great time in this trip , LOVED this all the way

A lovely moment, well captured Ken, quality nits aside. Some very nice WD sightings I see.

I agree with most of the critique above, but also love the pose and "moment"...
Curious as to why the crop is as large as you say it is? Were you zoomed out to capture something else?![]()
Morkel,
My 70-700 does not unfortunately exist (unfortunately), it is of course a 70-200mm at 200mm.
I was just taking Wild Dog play and this was on one side of the frame, I like the "moment" as well pity I didnot use the 500mm for this one
