I always laugh when people tell me they never make New Year's resolutions. I've made some of my best changes because of them! One year, I quit smoking. One year, I bought my first DSLR. And last year...well, last year I resolved one last time to try to do something about my weight.

I am official proof that you CAN teach an old dog new tricks. So the question is...did YOU make a New Year's resolution this year?

Awesome, Julie! Way to go! You are an inspiration! And, you have really put the pressure on the rest of us to follow thru with our resolutions!

Good stuff Julie... Don't know any that have kept a New Years resolution... Guess that makes you 'one of a kind'.

Thanks gentlemen...it really was a tough year but I'm so glad I did it. I never realized how many times we eat donuts and bagels and sweets at work! We also had one of the hottest summers on record in KC...weeks of 100+ temps...and I kept right on walking through it all. The best part was we get a cash reward for losing anything over 20 lbs at work (because it lowers our risk of health issues which saves the company money on insurance premiums) so I walked away with $400 (which helped buy me a new wardrobe which I desperately needed at that point!)

Wow, great going! You achieved 2 very difficult goals and should be proud of yourself. You have to really want to do it and you did...I'm happy for you....
