Isn't it amazing what you can do with a high ISO these days. Great photo.

    Joel,

I like the flight pose and wing extensions - did you set the ISO that high or auto. Whites are in check and the sensor was on the center mass of the body I assume. The image is framed well and I am sure you know the bottom edge could be cleaner. The Canon pro-bodies handle the higher ISO - well done.

Thanks Jeff, I toyed with the idea of removing the mountain tops from the bottom of the frame then I decided I liked them.

    Hi Joel,
I like the dynamic pose and the color in the BG. I would prefer not to see the tops of the mountains as the drag the eye down and away from the bird. Very good exposure on the whites and nice light,

Good catch Joel! I love the color of the sky (I know you were freezing too!) and the hint of that warm color in the goose. I'm torn regarding the bottom of the frame. While I agree that the hilltops are a bit distracting, it is also pretty boring to have a plain sky with nothing in it. In all, a very nice image. Well done!

Wow, great image ! That is a very high iso, but you handled it great. I love the wing spread!
