Excellent image Jonathan! I like the pose, perch, BG and lighting.

Superb Jonathan. One of my favourite British birds. Everything is nicely in focus, the perch works well, the BG is great as is the pose, head angle and light.

Killer BG you have here with a lovely bird....well exposed and sharp. I find the bird a tad too centered. I would take a tad off of the bottom and add some to the top if you have it, or add a little more to the top and leave the bottom alone.

Colors , light and detail are really nice as well as the bg. I agree about the crop suggested by Marina. I go with off from the top and then I would also just take a teeeny from the left too. :)

Thank your everyone for your C & C, I agree the bird is a little less than optimally positioned. there is a good reason for this - I was running out of Photoshop skill and patience!! The original had the feeder adjacent to the bird so I had to cut that out, that meant the perch looked shopped off in the middle of the frame, the bird was also too far to the right, so I had to add canvas left and right and also extend the perch left and right. I used content aware where possible and as the branch looked stretched and bare on the left I cloned in a little lichen. Have a good look at the perch on the right, I have done a little less than perfect job there it looks a little fuzzy.

Hi Jonathan- It's important to know these (major) processing details which should have been mentioned in the OP.

Hi Jon, lovely colours on this fellow, and I like the inquisitive pose. Good detail throughout, sharp, and the yellow lichen stands out very well. Killer BG again.
