    Hi Folks;

    Great concept. I might have done a mask and painted some of the bird back in. Love the BG and what the treatment did to it. Just wish for a bit more detail in the bird.

    HiJoe;

    Is this more along your idea? Might be a little dark as I did it on my laptop in my lap, where else?

    Thanks for your kind words and suggestion.

    Gus, the repost is very strong...great color, just enough detail painted back in, wonderful patterns of light and dark in the BG, giving more balance to the image...beautiful oil textures. I wish you had left a little more room on the left, near the wing...and maybe a little more room across the bottom as well. I love tight compositions, but this one seems just a tad "crowded"...great job processing!

    Gus, I like the BG in the OP better but the bird in the repost better, I might move the bird a smidgen to the right if it were mine. Nice job!

    Hi Folks;

    Thanks for looking with your kind words, patience and suggestions. Growing up my Dad always said, "Don't ask for suggestions unless you're going to heed them."

    It was a good early morning challenge, so I added room on 3 sides and made it a Pano with a bit of difficulty using mostly Quick Mask repeatly, then cropping & a new border.

    Comments always welcome and appreciated to help an old dog learn new tricks.

    Keep smiling

    Gus

    Great job with the repost, Gus. Love the pose of the hummingbird, and oil painting texture really stands out.

    I like pane #7 best. I did just notice a thin straight line on the left hand side of both of your last reposts and in the final repost a couple of color blotches on your frame. Nice work Gus and you continue to be an inspiration to us all.

    Young Eagle eye . . I should have seen that as it is part of the old frame when I enlarged the space. Easy fix. The last repost was a hurry up, about 5 mins and blotch in frame is a part of new superimposed add on that had everything erased except the bird.

    Haste makes waste, thanks for pointing it out

    Hi Gus, I love the repost in pane #7 the best. You have mastered this paint-by-number treatment
