    I will be really interested to see what everyone thinks of this image because I did almost everything you could possibly do to it in post-production to get it to this version. The original full color image just wasn't doing it for me because it was past the flower's prime so I started playing around with some new PS actions I had downloaded and popped on one called "Antique." I changed the contrast, levels, curves, cropped almost every side and rotated the canvas 90 degrees CCW.

    Canon 40D with a Canon 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM
    natural light, evaluative metering, handheld.
    100 ISO at f4 @ 1/400.

    different but nice. i like the focal point and the dof on this. i like the treatment you gave it too. the only thing i could think of is to darken the right top and bottom corner and the lower left corner to match the upper left corner. well done!

    I like it Julie I can only add that I would change the light flower part behind the stem Seems out of place Might want to fine tune and give a little texture to the mid left side !!! Love your idea and the treatment worked !!!

    Thanks Gentlemen! I didn't even notice that one petal behind the stem..but now I really see it. I think the vignette I added came out a little unbalanced as well so I'll go back and take another look at that as well. Great suggestions!

    Very nice composition Julie...I like it very much... the whites on are delicate, and show nice detail...:D
