Found this 4 year old image and decided to re work it for an up-coming CC competition. Original was a table top shot with studio strobes.
Don't have the techs, ie: exposure, etc.
    Worked in fractalius.

I love the fract work and the way the leaves and stem are outlined.

Hi Joe...very, very cool. The processing on this is spot on, as is the composition; my only nitpick would be to darken the highlight just below the primary bloom just a bit..my eye is constantly drawn to it, competing with the curved line of the stem and the secondary blooms for my attention. Well done!!

Joe, This came out beautifully! I love the comp and the filtering. John makes a good suggestion regarding the highlight. The double bloom and dark background make this special. Nicely done.

Love the simplicity to the composition, Joe, and the fract filtering is a wonderful touch. Has a nice glow to it and like the outline of stem.

Joe...really electric! beautiful frac work....You might consider masking the center of the front bloom as another variation. great work!

Great! Love the thread name! very appropriate. I keep freshwater tropical fish and there is an Africa Cichlid that is called Electric Yellow with this same color! Good work!
