I had posted it earlier but that was just before the outage so many could not have seen. Hence, posting again.
This burrowing owl( very uncommon here) was seen first in SE Dallas county during christmas bird count. Cooperative individual that has been attracting a lot of birders. For the most part, it stands in the grass. For a brief moment, it flew on to the road. Fortunately I was already in a good position.
