Yeah there seemed to be some error and a few of the latest threads got deleted? One of my threads disappeared into the aether as well. I like the shot, the wigeon's colors are beautiful. It needs some more detail on the top of the head and bill. Looks like the light was pretty harsh. Maybe a highlights adjustment or a little recovery?

Hello Amol, I agree that the whites are just a tad hot - could have gone 1/3 stop lower in the capture. Did you lower the white level in post processing? Harsh light was definitely an issue for this image and it's imperative to keep an eye on the exposure as you shoot. I like the pose and composition, although I could see the bird moving up and left in the frame a bit. I notice a bit of blue cast to the shadow areas in the breast, neck, and face.

beautiful colors Amol, and beautifully sharp. I was actually wondering a little about a little shadows and highlights adjustment to bring out detail in the dark area around the eye, and make the eye pop a little more?

    Amol,

I agree, I lost a portrait of a Downey woodpecker - I will look into this matter.

Beautiful color, did you add saturation the background color is almost too strong but in check. Love the species, stunning creature might lighten the eye a tad. Thanks for posting keep em coming we will try not to lose anymore.
