    Default Savanna on my mind...

    Attached Images Attached Images

I found this special place while traveling in… my imagination.
It is warm and lush… as opposed to the current minus 8 degrees Fahrenheit.

This Fall I collected various dead plants (weeds, flowers…) to use in still life images.
The composite is based on one flower (aka tree) which was turned into a silhouette in LR4(beta) and combined with a clipping layer, duplicated (resized, warped…) and blended with gradients and a texture layer in CS5.

    All C&C welcome.

Really nice Steve, I like the graphic treatment and unique framing. The yellow/green color palette is perfect for the subject. Nice work!

Simply beautiful! Love the color palette. The framing certainly enhances it further. Excellent processing.

Steve, Your artistic flair really shines here! The texture layer is great and the out of bounds work is perfect!

Very nice image and application, for working in the deep freeze! It's not that hot down here right now, though it will be about 80 tomorrow again!! From one who knows of the cold you speak!!!

But I do like this ... the image, the application and the framing are all nice.

    Keep warm!

Hi Steve, love your creativity here. It sure looks more inviting than the snow squalls we are having here today.

Nothing like a vivid imagination to bring out the best in an artist.

    Fairyland!

    Well done.
