    I like the outstretched neck, erect crown (with rain drops too!), and alert pose. The thickest bright streak along the neck looks blown. This image would look great as a vertical, and I would desaturate the brightest part of the BG. The eye looks great!

    Nice pose on the bird and getting the crest up is a definite bonus. Maybe a little more contrast and a toning down of the bright area in the background would help.

    very good result for the sigma 50-500mm!!!
    a tag smaller image size will probably hide the softness of the detail better?
