One of the World's rarest Birds

[Jan Wegener]

is this beautiful Orange-bellied Parrot. They only breed in a very remota area in the south west of Tasmania. I was fortunate to be able to go there and came away with a few good images. You can only fly to this place in a small airplane and there is no water, electricty or food...I spend four days there, luckily my batteries held long enough :)
