I am fortunate that one of my favorite places is my own yard This is a blur taken of my yard looking toward the side of my barn which is painted blue.

This is a very good blur, Cheryl. It potentially has a number of other good compositions if cropped differently, but I like what you chose to do. All those diagonal elements interplay well with curves of color -- the light green and the reddish brown tones to keep the eye in the image. Your barn certainly adds some wonderful color that works well with the greens and purples. I like the dark areas at the top, too.

Peoples yards can be a great place to take photos. You get to see how everything changes with the weather, time of day, and the seasons. This was a good capture and nicely processed.

Hi Cheryl, lovely amount of blur to this one. I like the addition of the blue barn for a touch of a different color and the 'double' roof. I might clone out the white blur on the left side if it were mine. Nice work!

That seemed like a reasonable suggestion, so I decided to try it. This could be one of those personal preference things, but I preferred it with the white blur in place. I think the reason for that is that it is the first of several diagonally-related colored areas (ending with the barn) that have increasing amounts of blue, and I like that change. In any case, its visual impact is consistent with that of the barn, and they're both in the upper left, helping the eye to return to the point from where it entered the image.

I'd be interested in what anyone else thinks about it keeping it or healing it out.

The colors and motion are great and the blur works nicely for me. I'm ok with the white blur but would also like to see a crop from the left which leaves it out. If you want to keep the canvas on the left, you could paint over the white area with a darker green sampled from the image.

Cheryl, It's lovely. The composition with the hint of the barn and the colors really draw you in. Agree with toning down the white area. Nice to see you posting.

I love the blur effect on the foliage and the blue of the barn adds a nice touch of color. I vote for toning down the white a bit.

Now I want to see your blue barn! My backyard is one of my favorite spots also.
