    Default Holly in the Yard

This image was created from a photo of our holly bush that I took recently, after discovering the berries were out.

Image was processed in CS4 and Topaz Adjust, Lens Effects and other normal PP adjustments.

    Enjoy!

PS I like the format change to grey-black ... brings out the color in our images nicely! Thanks Jim and gang.

This is the cropped original, with some minor preliminary adjustment, for your viewing pleasure!

Mark, I like the abstract look to this. The edges inside the frame are nice and I like the fact that you can tell that those are berries. I like the earthy tones also.

I agree with Cheryl on the earthy tones. And I'm intrigued by the torn look of the edges. As far as I know, none of the steps you listed would accomplish that. Is the procedure for doing it something you'd be willing to share?

Hi Mark, nice abstract look. I too like the earth tones and the torn edges.

Hello Mark, a classic example of the "Fugistic" style. I really like what you did with the image, merging the abstract and the organic. Nice one!

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

I have to say that I was surprised at the outcome of this one, as it developed. Kind of like watching the image appear in the solution in the darkroom, but smells better here and I can see!

Thanks Dennis. Everything was as noted. However, the exact processing details were lost in the process, as my history feature in my computer is on the fritz, so I don't know the exact steps. I will say that Topaz Adjust 5 and Lens Effects have some neat features, if you play with them. There is alot more there than on the older versions of Topaz. As you may note of late, I have been trying different images with the new Topaz to see where it will take my vision.

This is a nice abstract Mark. I like the brown tones and the berries and I really like the edge effect!
