    Default Peregrine Falcon

Lucky catch while taking photos of terns. The fella came down and tried to take one of the terns but missed.

    Hi Jay,

Nice pose you have here. Maybe a touch of selective lightening on the right side of the head would be good.

There is also a fairly prominent sharpening halo , especially around the bird's left wing, that could be easily avoided by selecting the sky, inverting the selection, and contracting it by 1-2 pixels and sharpening only the bird.

On and admin note, your picture took a while to load so I checked and it is over 200KB. We're limited to 150KB here.

Jay I really like pose on this bird. I'm still looking for my first image of a Peregrine.

Jim's already offered some good comments which I'll echo.

As the old saying goes... Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.

    Outstanding image!

Putting the bird a bit tighter to the left would really improve the comp. Any image of a Peregrine in flight is bonus for sure!!

Marvelous capture, and I really like the pose with the spread tail. A wonderful opportunity came your way and you got it! Congrats.
