    Taken from the kayak on a rather cloudy day.

    BTW...the little swath of blue at the base of the neck was quite visible to the eye. Don't recall seeing it before on a king bird but I opted to leave it as it was real coloration.

    A little steep angle but as it was taken from a kayak the angle was a given.

    I like everything about this except the shooting angle, as Karl pointed out. Techs, pose, perch, high key, all work for me.

    I like the slightly wet feathers with the spikey do.
