    EOS-1D Mk IV, 500mm f/4 + 1.4xII, 1/1600, f/8, ISO 800

    Photographed last April on the Bay side of Mustang Island State Park, just south of Port Aransas, TX.
    Removed part of OOF ship on the horizon protruding about a quarter inch into right side of frame.

    Great stretch pose. Love the feet with the bird on its toes. Like the transition point of the two BG colours located were it is and great HA. All in all a pleasing image to look at. May just sharpen the head/eye a touch (could just be my eyesight).

    Mike:

    Pinkies are one of my favorite birds, and this pose is great.

    Enough angle to the light to give the details definition, good shooting angle, soft horizon transition.

    I might look at a version with just the slightest crop from the right, perhaps to the last i in your sig.

    Well captured.
