My first Scrub Jay sighting and capture. Too close but who cares as this is a great bird to find in my book. Lots of things would make this image better but this is it!

Now you know that even though you have a nice bird....and he's sitting so well on your finger.....that I still want the tail. I don't know how much was cropped on this one but if not much, you might be able to crop even more for more of a head shot.

Cropped in from sides only. Only had approx. 5-6 seconds to get these shots!

I'll probably be in the minority, but I don't mind the tail. I think
    you got enough of it.

For me, the main thing is, its nice and sharp.

Bill !!!!!!!!! You had a Scrub sitting on you finger at OS....... that will be twenty lashes !!!!! :D:D:cool: Man I don't know the number of times I've been over there looking for them !!!

Is this form the back lot by the swimming hole? Would have liked to have seen a wider angle lens to show more of your hand, feet and tail !!! An alternate is a tight head shot !!! Neat Sure wish I could do the same for one of these guys !!!

Same details as before but a little more detailed image. This has been a dream bird of mine for many years. Only had about 5-6- seconds and it was gone. I almost passed out when it lit. My wife was close with my 100-400 and she obliged me to get this image. Lots of things to wish for but I am tickled pink. This was on the Green trail going past the pond into the camping rea and turning left and walking forever. W walked till I was absolutely give out but here it is. I love it!

The most thematically on-topic image I've seen in the "Hand of Man" forum-- glad to see you've taken it so seriously!
