    Default Pied-billed Grebe wing flap

On a recent Florida trip at Lake Toho we saw this Grebe alone in a near by pond. I adjusted my self to get the distracting shiny reflections out of image but this guy stayed close to it. So in PP just toned it down.

I am sure this can improve a lot and only your comments and critics can help me do it.

Hi Sachin, good low perspective, and very well timed to get the wing flap. I like the hint of droplets flying off his back. You have also created a super comp with a good placement of the little guy. When you have masked the grebe and BG, you can darken the BG a touch with either levels or curves which should then tone down the BG. Also increasing your ISO would have resulted in a higher ss, thus a sharper image.

Sachin, I think you did everything right except the ISO :-) 1/1000 is too slow for this. lots of motion in the body. good shooting angle and subject angle.

Sachin, great timing and angle. SS could have been higher, would have been better for freezing the action. I would also try to darken a bit. But nice job overall.

I like the flying droplets and the pose and the placement of the grebe in the frame. as others have said a bit more SS would have freezed the action but I still like the motion blur,

Real nice shot. I really like the wing flap action, excellent comp, and love the water drops.
    Well done.
