    Shot taken in the back garden, these relatively small finches can be quite forthright and this little chap was holding his own against the much more powerful greenfinches.

    Loved the pose and the BG. difficult conditions for action shot...you did quite well. IQ is very good.

    Hi Jon, I like the focus on the head ( pun intended ) as it brings out the aggression towards his visitors. Well timed to capture the open beak and raised wing, and since you introduced me to this species, just love the varied colours on their heads. BG works well too.
