Hi Jeff, didn't know you were a cardinal... Nice capture, control of the red channel, and background. My eye is wishing for a little more sharpness. Good work on the exposure, might have gone for aperture over shutter speed given the bean bag support. Do you use IS when using the bean bag?

I love the color, the pose and the composition and the dark background. The eye, although fascinating to watch, could use some sharpening IMO.

Hi Jeff- Beautiful control of the reds here. The sharpness issue is caused by motion blur. Not a lot you can do.
