Fantastic image, Sid. So beautiful. I would maybe increase the blacks just a tad, seems overall bright. That eye is just stellar. Love the comp and head angle and colors.

Excellent image! Great compostion and a great pose on the cardinal. Seems just a tiny bit bright. Maybe play with curves, but only a very small amount.

Great HA, pose, perch and comp. I agree with Nancy. What is the BG? It seems almost to plain, although it does set off the bird and perch very nicely.

Lovely smooth BG. Like the way the bird is naturally framed by the branches. Looks a little light for my taste. May be increase the blacks a little? Just to make it a little more contrasty?

Lovely image overall . The striking red bird stands out against the BG . I just found the perch a bit busy . A simpler perch would have done more justice to this one .( if this was a setup ) , else you cant do much about it .

    Bill,

Background is out of focus ground.I setup perches real low on the ground and used OOF ground as back drop.

Hi Sid, just love the whole setting in this, with the reds of the cardinal against the lighter foliage and BG. The cardinal is well exposed, sharp, and has posed for you very well.

Sid, I liked this perch a lot. looks very natural. I like that you did not clean the leaves from the LLC. Good job on the reds and the BG helps with the pop.
