    I slightly overexposed this guy to bring out the details in the black.
    The end result was a partially blown beak (top portion)
    I fixed it more or less with some burning and a little cloning.
    Also burned the pupil and dodged the iris and burned the side a little.
    What I like about this image is the nice pattern of the water.

    Nice image Karl. The thumbnail doesn't do it justice. I, too, like the water. Good composition and IQ. Excellent look at the blacks and your PP is good on the beak. I might take a bit off the bottom, otherwise no nits!

    Excellent pic Karl. The detail is superb, great job on the beak, love the water, and great head angle.

    Karl, water pattern is indeed nice. good details. the body of the coot looks too light to me.
