I watched this pair of crows for quite some time and wondered what they were thinking. Are they a young couple, an old couple? They clearly were a pair.
I used fractalius, Topaz Clean 3 stylize details & Topaz Detail creative detail accent. If I tried to do it again I would add a bit more space to the bottom.
Wow, Nancy, this is very nice. They were very cooperative to pose on that craggy branch that curves around to point back at them. A bit more canvas on the bottom would be okay, but I wouldn't regret not having it there. The only thing I might do in terms of composition is crop a bit from the right. But, then again, maybe not. You achieved a great background, and the colors of the entire image are super. Nice work with the filters, too.
Nancy, I like the way the branches frame the birds. Maybe a sliver more room on the bottom and a slice off the right for me but it is certainly a very pleasing look as is. Nice job with the filtering and the capture!
Very nice, Nancy! Like the composition and your treatment. Wonderful base capture with the pair looking up in the same direction. Like the soft light, subtle color, and the crooked cruving branch really pulls the whole comp together nicely. Good suggestions above. Well done!
Super presentation with superb touch when using filters, just right, and composition is mighty nice. Being in OOTB forum I think the perspective of looking up gives your composition a feeling of awe, makes me look up. Anytime I see folks looking up, I always do too. Just my humble opinion.
I love it and TFS.

BTW: Using crop & pulling bottom line to where you would like to extend bottom >crop, > Rectangular Marquee to capture space you have now below birds>Edit>free transform>grab the middle down arrow and pul to drag bottom space to new bottom will give you that extra smidge you want. The good thing about it is, you have the opportunity to accept it or not.
Hi Nancy, very nice capture. The branch is perfect for this happy couple! I agree on adding a smidge to the bottom. If it were mine I might be tempted to crop a little off the top to eliminate the little 'Y' at the top of the perch, but that's just me.
Andrew, I experimented with removing that "Y" but was not sure if having the remaining part of the branch just disappear out of the top was too distracting to the curving part of the branch. I would probably have to remove all the way down to the junction with the curving branch. Maybe I should experiment some more.
