I seem to be in a profile mood lately but didn't really think I could call a mountain goat's gaze "Intensity III" Taken on my 2010 trip to Glacier National Park just off the Going to the Sun Road.

Hi Rachel, you have the detail and quality in the image so I might suggest a portrait crop. Even at this size, re cropping still retains the IQ and proves the quality of the image. I just find as presented that head is too central and the space either side too equal, so a slightly tighter crop moving off centre could work, but perhaps not ideal. I would also look at some of the lighter marks ie in the grass bottom RHC and in the BKG.

Initially I thought this was with your new toy.

Thanks Steve. I'll play with the crop a bit. The brighter area in the lrc is a rock. One of the reasons I cropped from the bottom originally was to get rid of another rock below the goat on the lhs.

    Thanks again,
    Rachel

I like it Rachel and although I am generally not a fan of blurring the BG, in this case I might try it as I find
it a bit distracting from the fine portrait.
