    Default Different Water Pattern.

While stranded in Soccoro due to a snow storm, we went out to a local pond and found a big flock of Am. Widgeons.
This is one of the females. Low angle was not possible but the water pattern makes up for it at least for me.
    Thanks fro looking.

Karl, I know that pond! Visited it myself when my Bosque trip was impacted with an ice storm. Now for your image. The water patterns are beautiful. Mrs. Widgeon is beautiful. The problem for my brain is that there is so much going on that I get a bit overwhelmed visually. When I do a browser scroll and crop from the bottom to right above her bill reflection, then I can appreciate the image much more. What do you think ?

I like this alot, Karl. Now maybe a bit off the left to balance the composition. What do you think?

Karl, yes...the water is terrific here. so painterly. without that, this shot would not have worked. I like the OP more.

Nice water pattern, colours and the Wigeon. I like your original with the Wigeon's reflection.

Beautiful bird, light, and simply gorgeous water swirls. A slight head turn would have brought it up another notch. I guess I'd go with a crop somewhere between the OP and the repost.

The thumbnail does not do justice to this at all! The water and color and swirls which match the bird
are so nice! One of your best photo's Karl, very nice!

Hi Karl, amazing pattern design and texture to the water, and I like the different browns on Mrs duck. I feel your repost works so well.

The water is so beautiful that I think you could have taken the picture without the widgeon and had a winner!! But then, you would have to post that in landscapes. I do find the image a bit busy with all the swirls and the duck. I would go for a crop between the OP and the repost. Would have also loved a bit more head turn.

Water pattern really worked very well for this image...The pano crop did not work for me...I would try and extend the canvas at bottom just enough to look natural.

The water patterns are magnificent Karl...so much so that you might have taken a shot without the duck so that you would have a great abstract.

    Thanks Adrian.
    Sounds like a good idea.
