    Just returned from a trip to the Kalahari. The rains have been late . This small herd of springbok face away from the rain as they wait for the storm to pass. These storms are often spectacular .With amazing Thunder and Lightening displays.

    D3 200-400 VR lens.wimberely head.car bracket. iso 800 f4 @ 1/100 .

    Always good to see rain in the Kgalagadi Peter! Very nice scene and smearing effect from the rain makes it for me.

    You never disappoint me in conveying a mood! In the ideal world.......would have loved to have seen separation between the animals......but overall, another beautiful one from you!

    Excellent photo! The visible rain really sets the mood for this one, Peter. I like how they are facing away from the rain - and you. I don't think the image would have the same impact if they were facing toward you.

    Thanks Alfred,Roman,Steve and Gus for your very encouraging comments, It s always difficult in the pouring rain to get a pleasing image..Glad this one worked out as I had very few opportunities during the week...
