    Default Shooting Into The Sun

I was on the top of the cliffs at La Jolla Cove, CA (I've seen some fantastic shots by Art taken here) and looked down and saw this molting Brandt's Comorant. Even though I had to shoot into the sun's reflection I just had to take some shots. I used a 500mm f/4 and to create this image. I like the way the background (light reflecting off the ocean) came out but just didn't get enough pizazz to subject itself. Any recommendations?

There seems to be a lot of lens flare causing you some problems here, but I just did a curves adj and this does improve the image. No real problem to replace some of the lower right area lost to flare as well.

Given the conditions a good image well done.

    Hi BJ,
Must agree with Steve about the lens flair, might want to tone them down a bit. In addition, you might want to add canvas on the right side of the frame and crop a little from the left side to off set your bird...:D
